CUBB Christmas Party

In keeping with our tradition to have a Christmas Party in the New Year, CUBB held theirs on Saturday 31st January.  It was decided by most of the members to have a more traditional party than in other years and to invite a friend along.  Party tea was agreed upon as being a Chinese style buffet do.

The first game of a ballon relay, passing the bollon over your head to the next person who passes it between their legs to the next, who passes it over their head was played first.  Then a game of drawing a word was played followed by "make a mummy".

They then had some "free time" to play on the Wii, bouncy castle, giant Jenga and other board ganes.

Tea followed, which was nearly all eaten up.  Too finish off with, "pass the parcel" with sweets and forfits!

WWWYCs Got Talent - Jan 2015

As a result of a suggestion from Club members via their elected representatives at the Leadership Meeting, a Talent Show was held.  It was agreed with by the YP Reps that there would be a first prize of £20 vouchers and two runner up prizes of £10 vouchers each.  They also requested that someone "famous" present the prizes.

Our "famous" person was The Mayor of Maldon, Clr. S Nunn.  His claim to fame was to have been a contestant on the Radio One quiz "Mayor of Where" a few weeks before.

The two judges were ladies who have several to many years experience in the armature dramatics and dancing world.  They were also supported by a gentleman who did the sound engineering for them.

Three acts competed in the show and we were pleased to have two young ladies from the younger club perform also.  They were in the competition too.
